Best Time to Conduct Webinars? When it’s Related to Sales?

We are know that the seminars/webinars/conferences are one of the best ways for lead generation and most of the companies are following this method in recent days. It’s very important to select a proper time in a proper date. The day, time, date for the best result differs based on the industry we are targeting.

I believe I have some good experience in conducting webinars and further follow-up. The best time as far as my concern is, Wednesday and Thursday. If you are targeting US people, morning time PST works better.

There are lots of tools available in the market to conduct webinars. Citrix – GoToWebinar, Microsoft – Live Meeting are the best tools and they are cost effective also.

Sending campaigns to the targeting persons at the perfect time is most important than conducting a webinar/seminar/conference at the proper time.

Notify them about your webinar in a proper channel (Postcard campaign, email campaign etc., – Whichever works better to your industry)

Remind them before one or two days and half an hour before the webinar. Or ask a person to call every registrants to remind them that the webinar is at the particular day.

So, what is the best time to conduct a seminar when you are targeting sales people?

When it comes to sales, you need to consider month/date/day/time everything. Normally, in all companies, the sales meeting will be on every Monday. So, monday will not be a best day to conduct the event. check out the below points:

  • Avoid last week of every month. Sales people will be working hard to meet their monthly/quarterly goals.
  • Usually, wednesday/thursday’s works better for events. If it’s particular to sales people, second wednesday/thursday of every month works well. The first monday of the month is good for planning, but usually is very hectic for most sales people.
  • Sales people prefer attending webinars in the lunch hour. If you are targeting a particular geographical region, Lunch time will be good. But if you target the whole US, my recommendation is, morning time PST.

Overall, Wednesday’s/thursday’s works well. While sending campaigns, Send them within tuesday-thursday. This is applicable for reminders also. People will be busy on Mondays’ and they will be in weekend mood on fridays. But friday morning are fine for sending campaigns.

Afternoon and evening are the best times to send the campaigns if you are particular in timing.  Segregating the list based on it’s time range (PST, EST ..) will help us to target the people at particular timings.
