Part1: Most effective lead generation activity, method, and/or practice

Marketing is playing very important role when it comes to sale. You might have a very talented sales person. But it’s important to have an efficient lead generation team to get potential leads to get a high number of conversions.
Sales should sell — other staff should generate leads and other staffs perform demos.
Some people are good at selling, others lead generation and others doing demos. Its tough finding all these skills in one person.
Develop a marketing selling team / machine process.
Before listing out your effective marketing strategies, ask 2 questions by yourself.
1. How can I put my name in front of someone AT THE TIME they are thinking about what I offer?
2. Is the cost APPROPRIATE?
List out all the ways to promote your service/product. Look at your list and try to find the ways that best place your message in front of decision makers at a time when it is relevant.
I would share the best example I’ve got from my network. If you are a computer repair company, by giving away mousepads to your customers makes you get the relationship wealthy. If they are getting a problem with their system, your name and the contact details are infront of them.
Identify the target audience and based on that mark your method to promote your business.
I’m listing out some of the techniques we could use to market our products/services in effective ways.
- Personal Networking
- Ofcourse, its not under Marketing and leads generation. But you know, the best effective method to get potential client is through personal networking
- Advertising in Local Newspaper
- This might sounds you less. But if you targeting geographically, this is the best way. But you need to do some research on the conversion before sending the campaign based on the day and time. The effective day/date will be depending upon your service/product. As it is local you get the feeling of networking
- Video Email Campaign
- Eventhough we are sending emails by explain our services and offers etc., the conversion will be lesser than cold calling and personal networking. However, if someone is explaining about their service/product to you thru’ video, the satisfaction ratio will be high. There, Video Email is playing its role.
- There are lots of websites providing video email services around the world. And if you want, you can buy the software for your own or you can subscribe the software in monthly basis. They’ll charge you based on the number of views.
- For example, you’ll get charges, $20 for 1000 views. From the statistical point of view, we are getting only 23.1% responses from email campaigns. So, it won’t change much if we take the subscription
- Conferences (sponsorship, paper presentation, booth at the conference)
- This will obviously come under personal networking. But this is an efficient way for brand awareness.

Very true. All the efforts with right marketing will take you nowhere. Why Facebook, Orkut are famous? It is because of the way they marketing themselves. Otherwise there is no dearth of other networking sites.

I believe any call to action number for your target product will enable in generating leads.
